Thank you for the 15 years I say this now through all my tears. You are a wonderful son to have and hold I wish you were here until you were old.
Having to let you go so fast I treasure all memories of the past. I sit and think of days gone by And have to say it makes me cry.
To not be able to see your smile I haven't seen in quite awhile To not be able to touch your hand This is not what I had planned.
I long to see your smiling face But I know you're in a different place To look into your big brown eyes My head is filled with all these whys
Oh why did you have to go Do you know I love you so Even though we are far apart I always carry you within my heart.

Your birthdays here, You'd be eighteen. I keep looking for you, But you can't be seen.
I think that you are watching, From our Heaven up above. I hope that you are feeling, All the measures of our Love.
To hear your voice, To see your smile. To sit and talk, With you awhile.
To be together, The same old way. Are things that I have wished for, With every single day.
The tears I've shed, I can not wipe or pray away, This ache deep in my heart, Within me it will stay.
No one can know, The grief that we bear. When family meets, And you're not there.
To live this life without you, Is the hardest thing to do. Not one minute goes by, Without my thoughts of you...

It's my selfishness that makes me cry, I wasn't ready to say Good-Bye. I wasn't ready to let you go, I pray you know I love you so. It's me not you who suffers here, I know your life goes on somewhere. But still I can't stop thinking of, your smile, your touch, your special love. I know that you hear what I say, It's just done in a different way. So I want to send you this, To you the one I love and miss. All my love with an Angel Kiss.
We went to Dad's Navy Reunion and we had a good time. Everything was great until the memorial for their fallen comrads. I think we would have been okay had we not gone to that. They had a special drill team there that was putting on a show of sorts and the music that they played did Dad and I both in, we had to leave the memorial. It started with "Wind beneath my Wings" then into "Will you remember me". That was it we had to leave, YOU were the only thing we could thing of.So we went to ourroom for awhile.
You are s missed Matthew....I hope you know just how much...We love you son. Soar High in the heaven above.We Love You...

Matt, I wanted to stop by and see your face again, the face that brought warmth to many peoples hearts. You will never ever be forgotten, I know that you watch over all of us every day and skate around in heaven, I believe it in my heart. I heard about your sister getting married soon, she is going to be a beautiful bride and I know you will be there right by her side. I recently ran into your mom at my work and then your dad as well within the same week. I feel for your family, I can't even imagine the pain of losing a family member. My heart and prayers go out to them today, and every day because I know some days are harder than others. Your mom is truly amazing, she is doing so much to keep your spirit living on with these websites and the lovely cards she made. I hope that my words can bring her and the rest of your family some comfort and peace knowing that I havent forgotten you, nor will I ever. The same goes for anyone who had the blessing of meeting you, you're too amazing to forget. I am in college now and studying to be a teacher, and even with my busy life and being away from high school, I still remember all the memories with you like they were yesterday. I carry you around with me and I am sure everyone else from high school does as well. You are truly missed and will NEVER be forgotten. Love, Krista Close

matt we think of you often. even though i was around you more when you were very young i would see you sometimes when i would have to come pick up steve. i would wave or stop if you and nik were out playing and say hi and you both would say hi and smile that smile. i last saw you not to long before you went to be with JESUS you had your skateboard in the house and you were talking to your mom. i noticed how sweet you were to her and how polite you were to me when i came in. that is how i will always remember you standing there with that big beautiful smile of yours. we love you matt. see you in the big family reunioin in the sky one day. love steve and linda Close
